Commissioned by Jay Niepoetter and written for Jay Niepoetter and Jihoon Chang and ThePresident’s Own Marine Band. Conceived as a showpiece for outdoor performance during the 4th of July weekend celebrations at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., this work also explores the personal and collective triumphs and struggles we all have faced throughout the history of this American Experiment.
