Commissioned by the Desert Ridge Junior High Band in Mesa, Arizona. There are thousands of amazing folk tunes from the British Isles, many of which migrated to the United States and have also become mainstays in our country's folk music tradition. This work celebrates the traditions we share with our neighbors across the Atlantic, and re-imagines four popular folk songs: "Rickett's Hornpipe" (England), "Pais Dinogad" (Wales), "A Fig for a Kiss" (Ireland), and "Off She Goes" (Ireland).
